What brain imaging tells about human brain, mind and emotions?

02.12.2014

Today brain activities can be studied more accurately than ever before. Despite the sophisticated technologies, a mystery of humanity will prevail.

Human brain activity can be studied in real time with noninvasive methods. To know what is in one's mind or how the other person feels, however still needs further studies.

The topic was discussed in national morning programme Aamu-tv on 1 Dec, 2014. Postdoctoral scientist Hanna Heikkinen from the Brain Research Unit of O.V. Lounasmaa Laboratory at Aalto University enlightened the relation of brain imaging, mind and feelings. The programme (in Finnish) is available at YLE Areena.
