Kalle Kotilahti, M.Sc. (Tech.), will defend the dissertation “Functional near-infrared spectroscopy of the neonatal brain: Instrumentation, methods and experiments” on 6 February 2015 at 12 noon in lecture hall F239a, Otakaari 3, Espoo. In this thesis, instrumentation and methods for the optical measurement of brain hemodynamics were developed and applied to study the function of the newborn auditory cortex.
